Photography has always been a source of comfort…a visual reference that reminds me that life goes on. The earth’s beauty, the sun’s warmth and ever changing light are examples of the unique patterns that occur daily. When I look at the earth through a camera, I am amazed at the intricate beauty that is to be found.
A photograph captures a unique combination of subject, time and light that cannot be recreated. The uniqueness of the image is determined by the eye of the photographer. The meaning is determined by the viewer. A photograph communicates a moment of mystery, beauty and emotion; a personal alchemy between the image and the viewer takes place.
